Indian Bureaucracy Network | The West Bengal Government has announced a major reshuffle of nine WBCS officers across the state with immediate effect. The transfers aim to optimize administrative efficiency and strengthen governance in various departments.
As part of the reshuffle, Shri Surajit Bose (WBCS Exe. 1994), who was serving as Special Secretary, Public Works Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Home & Hill Affairs Department. Shri Sudipta Roy (WBCS Exe. 2016), previously posted as BDO, Nayagram, Jhargram, has been transferred as OSD, Sundarban Affairs Department.
Among the officers from the 2021 batch, Shri Samik Bhar, who was serving as BDO, Keshiary, Paschim Medinipur, has been transferred as OSD, Paschimanchal Unnayan Affairs Department. Shri Riddhiban Chatterjee, BDO, Barabazar, Purulia, has been posted as OSD, North Bengal Development Department. Similarly, Shri Hirak Biswas, BDO, Raipur, Bankura, has been transferred to the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri Development Authority as OSD.
From the 2023 batch, Shri Santanu Sarkar, formerly DM & DC, Darjeeling, has been posted as BDO, Nayagram, Jhargram. Shri Hintanshu Halder, who was serving as DM & DC, Uluberia, Howrah, has been posted as BDO, Keshiary, Paschim Medinipur. Shri Samit Ranjan Mandal, DM & DC, Uttar Dinajpur, has been transferred as BDO, Barabazar, Purulia, while Shri Uday Narayan De, DM & DC, Dakshin Dinajpur, has been transferred to the post of BDO, Raipur, Bankura.
