Indian Bureaucracy, Chennai, January 31, 2025| After a slew of transfers announced on January 27, 20205, the state government has initiated another reshuffle, transferring 34 IAS officers. Senior bureaucrat Smt R Jaya has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of Economics and Statistics, while Smt J Innocent Divya assumes the role of Commissioner of Technical Education, overseeing the state’s engineering and polytechnic colleges. Additionally, several new collectors have been appointed across various districts.
Details of all the transferred officers and their new roles and locations are listed below.
- Smt R Jaya IAS (Tamil Nadu 1995), on return from central deputation and tenure leave, is appointed as Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Economics and Statistics in the newly created post, relieving Shri S Ganesh IAS.
- Smt J Innocent Divya IAS (Tamil Nadu 2009), presently Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, is transferred and appointed as Commissioner – Technical Education, relieving Shri T Abraham IAS.
- Shri R Kannan IAS (Tamil Nadu 2010), presently Managing Director, ELCOT, is transferred and appointed as Director – Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, relieving Smt Mageswari Ravikumar IAS.
- Smt K Santhi IAS (Tamil Nadu 2015), presently Collector, Dharmapuri District, is transferred and appointed as Director – Sericulture, Salem, relieving Shri Chandra Sekhar Sakhamuri IAS, deputed to the Government of India as Executive Director, REC Ltd.
- Shri S Saravanan IAS (Tamil Nadu 2016), presently Executive Director, Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, is transferred and appointed as Collector – Dindigul District relieving Smt M N Poongodi IAS.
- Smt M N Poongodi IAS (Tamil Nadu 2016), presently Collector, Dindigul District, is transferred and appointed as Joint Commissioner – Administration, Commercial Taxes, relieving Smt Durgamoorthy IAS.
- Shri M Prathap IAS (Tamil Nadu 2017), presently Deputy Secretary, Special Programme Implementation Department, Tamil Nadu, is transferred and appointed as Collector – Tiruvallur District relieving Dr T Prabhushankar IAS.
- Shri C Dinesh Kumar IAS (Tamil Nadu 2017), presently Commissioner, Corporation of Madurai, is transferred and appointed as Collector – Krishnagiri District relieving Smt K M Sarayu IAS.
- Shri S Sheik Abdul Rahman IAS (Tamil Nadu 2017), presently Joint Commissioner of Municipal Administration, is transferred and appointed as Collector – Viluppuram District relieving Dr C Palani IAS.
- Shri K Tharpagaraj IAS (Tamil Nadu 2017), presently Collector, Tirupathur District, is transferred and appointed as Collector – Tiruvannamalai District relieving Shri T Baskara Pandian IAS.
- Shri R Sadheesh IAS (Tamil Nadu 2019 ), presently Additional Collector (Development) and Project Officer, District Rural Development Agency, Erode, Tamil Nadu, is transferred and appointed as Collector – Dharmapuri District relieving Smt K Santhi IAS.
- Shri V Mohanachandran IAS (Tamil Nadu 2019), presently Director of Disaster Management, is transferred and appointed as Collector – Tirupathur District relieving Shri K Tharpagaraj IAS.
