The latest decisions include regular postings, in-situ upgradations to the rank and pay of Secretary, and contractual extensions, impacting officers from various batches and cadres of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Forest Service (IFoS). These changes are poised to bring in a mix of experience and fresh leadership in crucial areas of public administration and policy execution.

1. Ms. Meeta R Lochan IAS (Maharashtra 1990) presently Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has been appointed as Secretary- National Commission for Backward Classes, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment .
2. Shri K Moses Chalai IAS (Manipur 1990) presently Secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance.
3. Shri Manoj Govil IAS (Madhya Pradesh 1991) presently Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, has been appointed as Secretary (Coordination), Cabinet Secretariat .
4. Ms. Vandana Gurnani IAS (Karnataka 1991) presently Secretary (Coordination), Cabinet Secretariat, has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment.
5. Shri Rajit Punhani IAS (Bihar 1991) presently Secretary, Rajya Sabha Secretariat, has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship .
6. Shri Ashish Srivastava IAS (Madhya Pradesh 1992) presently Advisor, Inter State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as Secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat .
7. Shri Vumlunmang Vualnam IAS (Manipur 1992)presently Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance .
8. Shri Nikunja Bihari Dhal IAS (Odisha 1993)presently presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs .
9. Shri Rakesh Kumar Verma IAS (Punjab 1993)presently  Additional Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti, has been appointed as Director General, India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management .
10. Ms. Anuradha Thakur IAS (Himachal Pradesh 1994)presently  Additional Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Economic Affairs. She will take over as Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs upon superannuation of Shri Ajay Seth, IAS (KN:87) on 30.06.2025.
11. Shri Rajesh Agarwal IAS (Manipur 1994)presently Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, has been appointed as Special Secretary. He will take over as Secretary, Department of Commerce upon the superannuation of Shri Sunil Barthwal, IAS (BH:89) on 30.09.2025.
12. Shri Arvind Shrivastava IAS (Karnataka 1994)presently Additional Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office, has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Revenue.
13. Shri Vivek Aggarwal IAS (Madhya Pradesh 1994)presently Additional Secretary, Department of Revenue, has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Culture.
14. Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi IAS (Odisha 1994)presently Director General, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
15. Ms. Pallavi Jain Govil IAS (Madhya Pradesh 1994)presently Director General of Hydrocarbons, has been appointed as Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs .
16. Ms. Nidhi Chhibber IAS (Chhattisgarh 1994)presently Additional Secretary, NITI Aayog, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Ministry of Food Processing Industries. She will take over as Secretary vice Shri Subrata Gupta, IAS (WB:90) on 31.05.2025.
17. Shri Samir Kumar Sinha IAS (Assam Meghalaya 1994)presently Additional Secretary & DG (Acquisition), Department of Defence, has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation .
18. Shri Hari Ranjan Rao IAS (Madhya Pradesh 1994) presently Additional Secretary, PMO, has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty, Department of Sports. He will take over as Secretary, Department of Sports upon superannuation of Ms. Sujata Chaturvedi, IAS (BH:89) on 30.06.2025.
19. Shri Rajesh Kumar Sinha IAS (Kerala 1994)presently  Additional Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways has been appointed as Special Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways.
20. Ms. Ranjana Chopra IAS (Odisha 1994)presently Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Culture has been appointed as Special Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Culture.
21. Shri Bharat Lal IFoS (Gujarat 1988) (Retd.) given extension as Secretary General- National Human Rights Commission in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India for a period of one year beyond 30.06.2025 .
