18 Bihar Police Reshuffle: Kartikey Sharma IPS appointed new SSP Patna

Indian Bureaucracy, Patna, June 14, 2025| The state Home Department today issued transfer orders for eighteen (18) of its IPS officers, a move largely viewed as a routine administrative reshuffle. The list of these officers, along with details of their current and new postings, is provided below.

  1. Shri Awakash Kumar IPS (Bihar 2012), presently Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Patna, is transferred and appointed as Commandant – Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP) – 01, Patna, Bihar.
  2. Shri Ashok Mishra IPS (Bihar 2016), presently Superintendent of Police (SP), Samastipur, is transferred and appointed as SP (General) – Special Branch, Patna, Bihar.
  3. Shri Kartikey Kumar Sharma IPS (Bihar 2014), presently Superintendent of Police (SP), Purnia, is transferred and appointed as Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, Bihar.
  4. Shri Chandra Shekhar Prasad Vidyarthi IPS (Bihar 2014), presently Superintendent of Police (Detective), CID, Bihar, is transferred and appointed as SP – Law and Order, Patna, Bihar.
  5. Shri Shaishav Yadav IPS (Bihar 2016), presently Superintendent of Police (SP), Supaul, is transferred and appointed as Assistant Inspector General of Police (AGP) – Modernization, Patna, Bihar.
  6. Shri Vidya Sagar IPS (Bihar 2016), presently Superintendent of Police, Rural, Muzaffarpur, is transferred and appointed as SP – Emergency Response Support System (ERSS), Patna, Bihar.
  7. Shri Vineet Kumar IPS (Bihar 2017), presently SP (General), Special Branch, Patna, is transferred and appointed as SP – Jehanabad, Bihar.
  8. Shri Pramod Kumar Yadav IPS (Bihar 2017), presently Commandant, Bihar Special Armed Police-1, Patna, with additional charge of SP, Special Task Force Bihar (Abhiyan), is transferred and appointed as SP (Detective) – CID, Patna, with additional charge of SP – Special Task Force Bihar (Abhiyan).
  9. Shri Vishwajeet Dayal IPS (Bihar 2017), presently City SP, Muzaffarpur, is transferred and appointed as Superintendent of Police, Jamui.
  10. Shri Arvind Pratap Singh IPS (Bihar 2018), presently SP, Jehanabad, is transferred and appointed as SP, Samastipur.
  11. Shri Madan Kumar Anand IPS (Bihar 2018), presently Superintendent of Police, Jamui, is transferred and appointed as SP, Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission, Patna.
  12. Shri K Ramdas IPS (Bihar 2019), presently City Superintendent of Police (East), Patna, is transferred and appointed as SP-cum-Assistant Director, Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir.
  13. Ms Sweety Sahrawat IPS (Bihar 2020), presently City SP (Central), Patna, is transferred and appointed as SP, Purnia.
  14. Shri Sarath R S IPS (Bihar 2020), presently City SP (West), Patna, is transferred and appointed as Superintendent of Police, Supaul.
  15. Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh IPS (Bihar 2021), presently Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO)-1, Danapur, Patna, is transferred and appointed as Superintendent of Police (West), Patna.
  16. Shri Parichay Kumar IPS (Bihar 2021), presently Sub-Divisional Police Officer-1, Sadar, Ara, is transferred and appointed as City Superintendent of Police (East), Patna.
  17. Shri Kota Kiran Kumar IPS (Bihar 2021), presently Sub-Divisional Police Officer-1, Dehri, Rohtas, is transferred and appointed as City Superintendent of Police, Muzaffarpur.
  18. Ms Diksha IPS (Bihar 2021), presently Sub-Divisional Police Officer-1, City, Patna, is transferred and appointed as City SP (Central), Patna.
