16 Rajasthan Civil Servants Promoted to IAS, Cadre Strength Reaches 278

Indian Bureaucracy, New Delhi, 01 July, 2025 | Government of India has elevated 16 officers from Rajasthan’s State Civil Service to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), as announced in a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). Approved by the President of India following the 2024 Select List and in consultation with the Rajasthan government, the officers will join the Rajasthan cadre on probation, per the IAS Recruitment Rules, 1954, and related regulations. This brings the state’s IAS total to 278, reinforcing its administrative strength across its vast geography and population.

A detailed list of the 16 officers promoted is listed below.

  7. Shri Ajeet Singh Rajawat IAS, DoB 18.10.1971, he is presently Joint Secretary to Government, Home (Appeal) Department, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
  8. Shri Avdhesh Singh IAS, DoB 11.09.1972, he is presently Director, Civil Aviation, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
  9. Shri Rakesh Sharma IAS, DoB 01.07.1972, he is presently Additional Commissioner, J.D.A., Jaipur, Rajasthan.

  12. Dr Har Sahay Meena IAS, DoB 10.09.1973, he is presently Executive Director, Rajasthan Financial Corporation, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
