In a grand ceremony organised by Shree Shrikshetra Soochana Sangh on the occasion of odisha folk fair & Krishi Mela at puri on 15th may 2017, Mrs. Yogamaya acharya was conferred with prestigious Shrikshetra Samman for her outstanding contribution to social and community welfare works specifically for women empowerment, education and care of under privileged children, dibyangs and rural poor. The prestigious award was received by her from the honourable minister of agriculture, odisha during the function at puri in midst of guests such as Shri A. V. Swamy Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Shri S. K. Pattanayak, IAS Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & farmers welfare, govt. Of india, Shri kulamani biswal director (finance) NTPC Ltd., new delhi, Padmashree Jitendra Haripal, Eminent folk singer.

Hailing from Puri, odisha Mrs. Yogamaya Acharya is the wife of Dr. Sarat kumar AAcharya, CMD, NLC india ltd. And daughter of Smt. Basanti mishra and Mr. P.N. Mishra of puri and daughter-in-law of Smt. Premalata acharya and Sri. Batakrishna acharya of bhubaneswar.

As a social worker she believes in promoting the wellbeing of humanity and through her social welfare activities she champions the cause of people in weaker and backward economic strata.
