SAIL’s Central Marketing Organisation (CMO), observed Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) from 27th October to 2 November, 2020 at its headquarters in Kolkata and all other offices spread across the country. Various programmes were organised during the VAW on the theme of Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat ( Vigilant India, Prosperous India), in keeping with the guidelines issued by Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
Due to COVID guidelines, Vigilance Awareness Week was observed in a restricted way following safety protocol.
- On 27th Oct’20 , on the opening day of the week, Sh L N Mallik, ED(L&I) lighted the ceremonial lamp in presence of Sh Goutam Ghosh, ED(Mktg) , Sh A K Tulsiani, ED(F&A) and Other Senior Officers. He read out the Integrity Pledge .
- Sh S K Paul, CGM(Vigilance)& ACVO read out the the Programme outline, which includes Online Quiz, Slogan Writing competition among employees, various awareness programme through Online mode involving stake-holders of the organisation and also online slogan writing competition among School Children.
The Programme ended with a Closing Ceremony on 02nd November’2020 where prizes were distributed to the winners under different category.
Vigilance Awareness Week is observed every year in all Government departments and CPSEs, as per the general guidelines issued by the CVC.
