The Government has not accepted a total of 06 recommendations of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) during the period from 01.04.2014 to 31.03.2015 due to varying reasons including denial/non-receipt of vigilance clearance, court case, procedural/functional issues, etc. As many as 106 recommendations of the PESB were accepted by the Government during the same period. It is evident that the rejection of the PESB recommended panel by the Government on grounds other than those related to vigilance is only in rare cases for which no change on this count is envisaged at this stage. This was stated by the Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Dr. Jitendra Singh in a written reply to a question by Shri Vivek Gupta in the Rajya Sabha.
