Sriram Kalyanaraman appointed as MD & CEO for National Housing Bank

Shri Sriram Kalyanaraman has been appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, National Housing Bank for a period of Five Years.  Sriram has over 27 years of experience in the Indian Banking and Finance industry and has held a number of leadership positions in some of the top Indian institutions and global banks. The uniqueness of this appointment lies in the fact that he is the first person form the Private Sector to head a Public Sector Financial Institution.

Prior to joining his present employer Equifax , Sriram was at Deutsche Bank, India where he set up the entire distribution and processes for the asset business. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Sriram was with Standard Chartered Bank for 17 years, where he held various key leadership roles across business units . Sriram has also worked with Sundaram Finance Limited in their Corporate Leasing division.

Sriram has a Masters in Business Administration from Bharathiar University and his interests include   Microfinance, Microcredit and Rural lending, Project Management for setting up Educational and Healthcare institutions.
