The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organise its first reverse buyer-seller meet (RBSM) in Amritsar from December 4 to 6. Chairman, Punjab Committee of PHD Chamber Rajiv Bali said around 150 select buyers from SAARC nations, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, besides Iran, will visit Amritsar for the meet.
He said they would have one-to-one business meetings with the Indian manufacturers. Indian companies, he said, will showcase their products before foreign buyers covering various sectors like automobiles, bicycle, agriculture machinery and implements, textile, home interior, healthcare and medical equipment and sports goods. R S Sachdeva, co-chairman of the Punjab committee, said the chamber received several inquiries from multiple trade delegates of SAARC countries looking for trade opportunities in the Indian market. He said the three-day meet, first of its kind in the region, will give entrepreneurs a chance to network with foreign buyers and manufacturers.
