National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) has paid an amount of Rs. 9.00 Crore to Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) towards Royalty payments for the technologies of DSIR and for commercializing CSIR’s technologies for the year 2016-17. The cheque was presented to Dr. Girish Sahni, Secretary DSIR and DG, CSIR by Dr. H. Purushotham, Chairman and Managing Director, NRDC. Present on the occasion was Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Govt. of India.

By transferring innovative technologies to entrepreneurs, NRDC is significantly contributing to the nation building through Start-up India and Make in India Missions of the Government of India, informed  Dr. H. Purushotham, CMD, NRDC.

NRDC, a Section 25 Company (now Section 8) under the administrative control of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, is actively engaged in commercialisation of Intellectual Properties/ technologies etc. developed by various public funded R&D institutions like CSIR, DRDO, ICAR, ICMR, PSUs and Universities. For the last three years NRDC is expanding its reach to the stakeholders and establishing strong partnerships with them.
