NLCIL provides School Building and over Head Tank under CSR initiatives

Shri R. Vikraman, Director (HR), NLC India Limited, inaugurated the new School building for  Panchayat Union Middle School  at Siruvathur Village and  a Over Head Tank(OHT)  in school premises, constructed  under   Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme of NLCIL, on 18.05.2017 at Siruvathur Village, Cuddalore District.

 NLCIL always strives  hard to enhance the access to quality educational facilities to stakeholders, who are essentially the communities who live in Peripheral Villages.As part of this it has constructed the  new  2 storied  school building covering an area of  200 Sq. mtrs, at a cost of  ! 32 Lakhs  with  additional facilities like electric fittings, fans and had constructed  a new 30000 Ltrs. capacity Over Head Tank  at a  cost of  !6 Lakhs  in the premises of the school to solve water crisis of  the villagers.

In his Chief Guest address, Shri R.Vikraman, said that NLCIL as a corporate citizen always committed to serve the local communities by bringing confidence, dignity and add value there  by enhancing the quality of life of the people . Considering thrust areas of this village NLCIL had  taken initiatives of construction of new school building and water tank.

He stated that as part of CSR NLCIL has Spent !38 crores for the financial year 2016-17 and it is ready to spend further for current financial year  by consolidation and co-ordination of District Administration. He reiterated that NLC IL had spent more than !81 crores for the financial year 2015-16 wherein it had constructed 1200 Toilet Blocks in Tamilnadu.

Shri R.Murugan , Chief Educational Officer,Cuddalore District ,Guest of Honour thanked NLCIL management for coming forward to construct School Building.

Earlier Shri R.Vikaraman inaugurated the  Overa Head Water Tank and handed over to Smt.S.Vasantha ,Block Development Officer,Panruti Union,for its Operation & Maintenance

Shri R. Mohan,CGM/CSR, Shri J.Peter James ,GM/CSR  and senior officials of NLCIL and  Smt M.Uma, HM , Staff  members and school children of Panchayat Union Middle School,  Siruvathur and villagers  participated in large numbers.
