Shri.R.Vikraman Director/HR,NLCIL inaugurated the Diabetic Retinopathy Camp conducted at Officers Association Building, Neyveli on 05-03-2017 .
The camp was organized by NLC IL Officers Association & Neyveli Blood Donors Association in collaboration with Arvind Eye Hospital, Pondicherry.
In his inaugural address, Shri .R.Vikraman insisted on Life style modification like diet control, walking, Physical exercise and yoga and meditation should be the main stay of the management of diabetes mellitus.
He suggested that public to avoid using Mobile, Laptop. Facebook, whatsapp unnecessarily and it causes unnecessary strain to Eye. Nearly 231 people diagnosed during the camp. Male-138, Female 93.Inwhich 140 people were diabetic which is more than 60%. Diabetic retinopathy Patients were 3.
