Shri A.K Dubey Special Secretary, Ministry of Coal, GoI, inaugurated the NLC India Power Seminar, On the theme “Present Scenario in Power Sector and Future Challenges” at Neyveli on this morning, (09.09.2016) at the Learning & Development Center,Neyveli.

NLC India Limited has organized a two day National Level Power Seminar a two day seminar on September 9,10th 2016, as part of its Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, at the Neyveli Learning & Development Centre.

The Power Seminar intended to throw light on challenges and to analyze the ways & means adopted in the difficulties being faced in the Power Generation, O & M, capacity addition through higher sized Units based on super critical technology, regulatory controls by way of stringent operational and financial norms, cap on O&M expenses, tightening norms for emission control, rules and regulations to be followed for generation and sale of power etc.

Shri A.K Dubey, In his inaugural address emphasized on the Importance of financial, Operation & Maintenance, Sustain and its Business Diversifications of the Power sector in present situation. He admired NLC India management for organizing the seminar on contemporary issue. He urged participants to come up with new understandings, challenges and strategies in power sector to address Growth, efficiency, Sustainability & Environmental issues within frame work of regulations.

 Shri S.K Acharya, CMD, NLC India in his absence, sent his presidential message.  He thanked all the  Dignitaries,  Delegates, and participants  from  different parts of the country  and industries  who made their presence  for seminar.  In his message he Informed that  NLC India organized this seminar with an  objective to  understand and address the  present scenario in regulatory controls, challenges in Power Generation and Thrust in Renewable energy, Load and Grid management  by bringing  all  experts from  Power Sector  and deliberations from Seminar will help power industry  and pave the  way  for new inputs ,reconsiderations for the growth of Nation’s economy.

 To mark the occasionan  e-format of seminar research papers  was released by   Shri A.K Dubey  and handed over first copy to Shri  Rakesh Kumar ,Director Finance ,NLC I

Industrial experts from Power Sector, including Shri D.K Jain ,Former  ED/NTPC,  Shri  Jayadeb Nanda ,COO /O&M  , Adani power Limited, Shri M.K Parameswaran ,Station Head ,   IL&FS , Shri Thomas Joseph ,ED/NTPC ,CEO,NTECL,Vallur  , Shri S.Raja Gopal , Former Director ,NLC India limited,  Shri J. Mahiselvan , Former Director ,NLC India limited, Shri V. Sethuraman,  Former Director ,NLC India limited, Shri M.S Ravindran, Former Director ,NLC India limited,   Shri R.C Sri Vastava, former Director, NTPC participated in the inaugural function and chairing various sessions of Seminar. Earlier, Shri V .Thangapandian,   Director (Power) delivered the Seminar theme Speech and  S. Sankaran, ED/Power delivered welcome speech.NLC I Functional Directors, Shri  Rakesh Kumar ,  Shri  Subir Das, Shri P. Selva Kumar  graced the Occasion. Also an exhibition was organized where in leading Power Industry manufactures displayed their products.

In this two days National Seminar 200 delegates from various Organizations including NLC India participated and 75 Technical Papers in 15 different sessions, on various themes like   Power Plant Performance, Super Critical Technology, Challenges in Power Market & Power Exchanges, Operational challenges, Renewable Energy and Environmental Issues and Challenges will be presented in the Seminar
