NLC India accomplished Swachh Bharat

Under the aegis of NLC India, School students attached with the Red Cross Society, stepped down to the road of Sidhi Valagam, Mettukuppam Village, Vadalur, a peripheral Village (04.11.2016) and cleaned well, under “Swachh Bharat” mission. Also a “Clean India Awareness” march around the streets of the village was performed by the students.

A National Mission of “Swachh Bharat” was passionately adopted by NLC India Limited. As part of it, two week programme is being conducted, which commenced from 1st November, 2016. On the line of progress, “Cleaning Programme” as well as “Clean India” (Swachh Bharat) Awareness Campaign was organised on today (04.11.2016) at Mettukuppam Village, Vadalur, which is a peripheral village of Neyveli. This programme was carried out with the support of school students connected with Red Cross Society, hailed from St. Joseph of Cluny & Aurobindo Matric Higher Secondary School of Neyveli. The slogans connected to ‘Clean India’ were voiced during the Awareness March, performed by the students at the Village.

In a special address, delivered by Mr. M. Senthilkumar, CM/Education Department and Co-ordinator for Two-Week Clean-India Programme, said, while special attention for the students of the peripheral villages on their education development is given by NLC India Limited, also take different steps to implement the Prime Minister’s Vision and Mission of “Clean-India”. He said, when a message is brought to the mind of students, it would easily be arrayed, to the society. Hence, to make the programme success, participation of the students was utilized.

Also, he cited, The saint Vallalar in his life time stressed importance of the hygiene, sanitation and purity; and adopted white dress as mark of it. Students performing the cleaning programme at this Sidhi Valagam place should understand that they are doing the service as part of his vision and gratitude. He further emphasized, when and wherever, true love, peace and cleanliness is followed, the Happiness would follow then. Hence students should keep more importance to the cleanliness and protect the environment, house and country, thereof.

This programme was efficiently performed under the supervision and guidance of Mr. Gunasekaran, DCE/Environmental, Mr. Sivagnanam, EO and Mr. Rajagopal, APO/Education Department of NLC India. In this event, Mr. Kannan, Mr. Jagadeesan, Mr. Jeyaseelan and Ms. Prema Merlin Santhi, incharge of Red Cross Society were participated.
