NLC India accomplished Swachh Bharat

Under the aegis of NLC India, School students attached with the Scouts and NSS, stepped down to the road of Kammapuram, Meliruppu & Arasakuzhi, the peripheral Villages on today, (07.11.2016) and cleaned well, under “Swachh Bharat” mission. Also, “Clean India Awareness” marches around the streets of the villages were performed by the students.

A National Mission of “Swachh Bharat” was passionately adopted by NLC India Limited. As part of it, two week programme is being conducted, which commenced from 1st November, 2016. On the line of progress, “Cleaning Programme” as well as “Clean India” (Swachh Bharat) Awareness Campaign was organized on today (07.11.2016) at Kammapuram Educational Office, A temple complex at Meliruppu Village and a Church at Arasakuzhi Village, which are the peripheral village of Neyveli. Also Hand Bills, which portrayed the need of Clean-India Mission was also circulated among the people of village; pasted stickers at different prominent places of the villages, besides Clean-India Awareness March were performed at all the streets of the villages. These 3 inter-linked activities were carried out with the support of school students connected with Scouts & NSS, hailed from NLC India Schools at Neyveli. The slogans connected to ‘Clean India’ were voiced during the Awareness March, performed by the students at the Villages.

In a special address, delivered by Mr. M. Senthilkumar, CM/Education Department at Kammapuram Village, recapped the Mahatma Gandhi’s articulation “that Villages are the backbone of the Country; and the development would begin from”. On knowing the veracity of it, NLC India steering, major portion of the  “Clean-India” movement of the Prime Minister’s vision at villages and side-by-side through awareness campaign, indulged the villagers to take part of the national mission, which in turn keep the village clean forever. Also, he said, that he saw good response from the villages, where this programme was performed.

This programme was efficiently performed under the supervision and guidance of Mr. Gunasekaran, DCE/Environmental, Mr. Sivagnanam, EO, Mr. Chandirapandian, Mr. Vasudevan and Mr. Rajagopal, APO/Education Department of NLC India.
