Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) has been conferred the 2016 in appreciation of its adoption of environment-friendly technologies.
The award, instituted by the Institute of Directors, New Delhi, for recognising achievements in creating sustainable development, environment and CSR, was presented recently at the 18th World Congress on Environment Management” hosted by the Institute and World Environment Foundation at New Delhi. Justice Arjit Pasayat, co-chairman, Institute of Directors and former Judge of Supreme Court, handed over the award to Shri S.A.F. Khalid, Executive Director (Mines) and Shri T. Kannadasan, CGM (Geology) of the NLC.
