Developments relating to NEX branded structural sections of SAIL – such as production of customised lengths and special grades – have been based on market feedback.

Nationally renowned structural designer and visiting faculty, Jadavpur University, Prof. Biswajit Som, in his keynote address at the meet, emphasised that the future of construction lies in the usage of steel parallel flange sections. He exhorted the participants to increase the usage of these structurals in their construction and infrastructure building projects to provide better stability and strength to the structures. This was followed by an interactive session between CMO executives, Prof. Som and the customers.

Earlier, in a presentation on NEX structural sections, Ms. Preeti Jha, AGM (Structurals)/CMO, apprised the customers about the advantages of using NEX in comparison to fabricated beams and highlighted the product attributes.
