Nagaland Chief Minister In Delhi – Requests for Airport and Medical College

The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri T.R. Zeliang called on Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh and discussed a wide range of developmental and administrative issues related to the State.

Dr Jitendra Singh assured Shri T.R. Zeliang that the Ministry of DoNER as well as the Government of India are keen to move all the developmental projects in Nagaland on a fast track. The Minister said that he is also aware of the requirement of an airport and a medical college for the State and is in touch with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare respectively, to work out various options.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the priority being given to Nagaland by the Shri Modi Government and said that during the last two years the State has been able to address a number of issues as a result of cooperation extended by the Union Ministry of DoNER and the Government of India.

Shri T.R. Zeliang, who was accompanied by the senior Ministers of his Cabinet, gave an update of the various ongoing projects under the Ministry of DoNER and offered suggestions for the same. He also referred to some of the new projects in the offing.
