In a bid to promote tourism activities in the North-Eastern states, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has joined hands with Mizoram to provide a range of hospitality and tourism services to tourists visiting the state.
Both signed an agreement at Aizwal last week, which aimed at boosting tourism activities in Mizoram.
The MoU was signed by IRCTC Group General Manager Alok N. Mathur and Mizoram Tourism Secretary V Lalremthanga.
“The signing of MoU with Mizoram’s Tourism Department is part of our efforts to give an impetus to tourism and hospitality activities in the country’s North-Eastern states which are blessed with unmatched scenic grandeur, flora and fauna and distinctive culture and cuisines. Earlier, we had signed a similar MoU with the Tourism Department of Tripura, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh & Manipur,” said IRCTC Chairman and Managing Director AK Manocha.
