There are two major infrastructure schemes being implemented by the Ministry of Textiles viz. Scheme for Integrated Textile Parks (SITP) and Integrated Processing Development Scheme (IPDS), and for Technology Upgradation viz. Amended Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (ATUFS) for organized textile sector. The details of incentives provided under these schemes and that of funds released under these schemes are as given below:-

Scheme for Integrated Textile Parks (SITP) 40% of the project cost subject to a ceiling of                        Rs. 40 crore for textile parks. 90% of the project cost subject to a ceiling of Rs. 40 crore for first two projects in the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim and J&K.
Integrated Processing Development Scheme(IPDS), 50% of the project cost subject to a ceiling of                                  Rs. 75 crore for projects with zero liquid discharge systems and Rs. 10 crore for projects with conventional treatment systems. Support for marine discharge projects would be analysed on a case to case basis with a maximum ceiling of Rs. 75 crore.
Amended Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme(ATUFS one time capital subsidy for eligible benchmarked machinery at the rate of 15% for garmenting and technical textiles segments with a cap of Rs. 30 crore and at the rate of 10% for weaving, processing, jute, silk and handloom segments with a cap of Rs. 20 crore.

Under SITP, 66 textile parks have been sanctioned which are at different stages of implementation.  Employment of 79,000 persons has been generated.  Evaluation studies of the parks have highlighted benefits of clusterisation to the industry.  7 projects have been sanctioned under IPDS only during 2015-16.  Execution of these projects is at early stages.  Under TUFS, employment of about 16.78 lakh persons has been generated                                   involving 12051 cases/units during the period. The success of the scheme in upgrading technology by leveraging investments led to the launch of ATUFS with effect from 13.01.2016 to further support technology upgradation in value added segments.
