India@75 Foundation an initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) established in 2008 to pursue the nation building agenda of CII ; envisions to have an India by 2022 i.e. by 75th year of its independence ‘ that will collaboratively shape the world order through economic strength, technological vitality and moral leadership’. Its vision document  ‘India@75 – The People’s Agenda’ comprises vision elements covering moral leadership, skill development & education, business & economy, urbanization & environmental sustainability, technology & innovation, agriculture & health, and arts/literature & sports. Technology and volunteerism are the enablers to achieve the vision objectives through a collaborative and participative approach by facilitating convergence of the key stakeholders.

Focus areas of India@75 are skills development, functional literacy, urbanization and volunteerism. Innovative efforts have been undertaken to bridge the gaps and build capacities of grass root organizations by connecting skilled corporate volunteers to the not for profit organizations for specific interventions to build their capacities, so as to scale up and deliver with enhanced efficiency.

India@75 is also working towards creating functional literacy toolkits for the adult urban illiterates in lines with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan for the rural population.

Major area of focus is volunteerism and efforts are made to channelize their energies towards delivering tangible outputs with measurable social impact in sync with the mission mode schemes of the Union Government. CII  through India@75 is organizing a Cleaning Drive from 1600 to 1800 hrs in and around Rajiv Chowk on 25 June 2016. This marks the beginning of India@75’s pan India initiative to augment the efforts of the Union Government in meeting its objectives of ‘Swachh Bharat’ by 2nd October 2019 the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi. Cleaning drive at Rajiv Chowk coincides with the Swachhta Pakhwada being celebrated by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India

Through the cleaning drive CII/India@75 endeavors to facilitate the convergence of corporate entities, non-profit organizations and the youth of our country to collaboratively work towards social good and enabling cleaning of the area and sensitization about Swachh Bharat.

About 1000 volunteers collectively will be working to clean up six specific spots around Rajiv Chowk, a place that resonates with every Delhite and in the process send out a message to masses for larger participation. Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India and they will be supporting this activity through the participation of the NSS volunteers besides other not for profit organizations.
