Telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, India has around 400 million Internet connections and he has instructed to achieve 500 million connections in coming years at an ASSOCHAM Sach Bharat – Confluence and Awards 2015 held in New Delhi .

In a population of 1.23 billion, very soon we will have all the Indian having mobile phones, said Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad Telecom Minister while inaugurating a conference on ‘Sach Bharat – Confluence and Awards 2015’, organised by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).

Smt Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, Minister in charge, Dept of Women and Child Development said, “For me spirituality means simply one word Dharma”.  She said, when I was very young mother gave me a book called ‘little mermaid’ and she said in this book you will learn the most valuable lesson of all and the lesson from that “Don’t do unto others what you don’t want others to do unto you.”

Mr. Sunil Kanoria President, ASSOCHAM said, “We need to first generate a moral and a spiritual atmosphere.  The present system is suffocating.  The climate of crime and corruption is toxic to good thoughts and noble works.  This must change.  Without this, there will be no development, no transformation”.  As Dr. Kalam said, “Corruption cannot be eradicated only through legislation, but also through spirituality.”

We must remember all good things start from within – from a wish to do good.  Governance standards can be imposed externally, but until and unless there is an internal urge to do well, governance standards cannot improve.  Remember that when an external force is applied on an egg, it cracks and the life inside ends, but when the egg breaks open with an internal force, life begins, added Mr. Kanoria.

Dr. H. P. Kanoria, Chairman SREI foundation said, “Spirituality manifests divinity within us. It ignites us to work with devotion and righteousness to serve humanity.” The lure of material success in a competitive world sometimes becomes so strong that it overpowers one’s senses and makes him blind to what is right and what is wrong.  It is spiritualism that can help one stick to the path of righteousness.  Spiritualism can help one remain connected to themselves.  One must not renounce the performance of deeds, but renounce the desire for the fruits of those actions.

Other who also spoke during the conference were Dr. Subramanian Swamy, BJP Leader & Former Union Minister, Mr.  Indresh Kumar,  Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Swami Chidanand Saraswati     President and spiritual head of the Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh,  Mr. Man Hee Lee Chairman Heavenly Culture, World Peace Restoration of Light, Seoul, Republic of Korea and Mrs. Nam Hee Kim Chairwoman of International Women’s Peace Group, Seoul, Republic of Korea.
