DMRC MD, Dr. Mangu Singh inspected the overall progress of the Mundka – Bahadurgarh corridor of Delhi Metro’s Phase 3, on which trial runs were started last Saturday.Accompanied by other directors and senior officials, Dr. Singh travelled by a trial train from Tikri Kalan to City Park and thoroughly inspected the progress of work on the corridor.

During these trials, the interface of the Metro train will be checked to ensure that there is no physical infringement with civil infrastructure during the movement of the train on the track and also testing of various subsystems of coaches shall be done.

The Mundka – Bahadurgarh Metro corridor is an extension of the existing Inderlok – Mundka Corridor (Line-5) of the Delhi MRTS Network. The Metro corridor will run along NH-10 (Rohtak Road) on elevated viaduct. It will have seven stations (four in Delhi portion and three in Haryana portion). The alignment will be on Standard Gauge and shall have technical standards similar to the existing Metro corridor up to Mundka.
