Dedicated ONGC Startup website launched by Petroleum Minister

On 7 December 2016, a dedicated website for ONGC Start-up Fund was launched by Hon’ble MOS MoPNG Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan during the Petrotech 2016, in presence of Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Mr. Nitin Gadkari, MoS Power Mr. Piyush Goyal and MoS Environment, Forest and Climate Change Mr. Anil Dave.

The dedicated website startup.ongc.co.in, was developed under stringent timelines by Internal Communications Team, with content and conceptual support from INDEG’s Make in India cell. Corporate Infocom provided the technical inputs.

The website provides a unique opportunity and platform for entrepreneurs, who have ideas in Energy Sector, to be incubated and supported by the premier Oil & Gas company in India.

Entrepreneurs with ideas will be able to submit their ideas through the website and seek funding, support from ONGC. The interactive website also provides elaborate details about the procedure, focus and methodology for start-ups applying to this fund. The website contains all relevant information, including contact details of ONGC Startup Cell. Through Apply Now functionality, entrepreneurs can submit their ideas to the ONGC Startup Cell, who will get in contact with them after evaluating the business idea.

Earlier, on 14 August 2016, on occasion of its Diamond Jubilee year, ONGC had launched a Rs. 100 crore Start-up Fund to foster, nurture and incubate new ideas in Oil & Gas Sector. The fund is in line with the government’s initiative to boost entrepreneurship in the country under the ‘Start-up India’ campaign.
