Counting of votes for the by-polls to ten Assembly constituencies across eight states was held. In Delhi, BJP-SAD alliance has won the bypoll to Rajouri Garden Assembly seat. Manjinder Singh Sirsa. He defeated Congress candidate Meenakshi Chandela by over 14,000 votes.

In Himachal Pradesh, BJP has won the Bhoranj assembly constituency by-election in Hamirpur district by a margin of 8,290 votes. Its candidate Anil Dhiman defeated his nearest rival of Congress, Parmila Devi.

In Madhya Pradesh, BJP candidate Shivnarayan Singh has Bandhavgarh assembly segment by-election in Umaria district by over 25 thousand votes. He defeated Savitri Singh of Congress. Hemant Katare of Congress is leading by 1241 votes over his nearest rival Arvind Bhadoria of the BJP in Ater after completion of ten rounds of the counting. Result is likely to come by evening as counting will be completed in 21 rounds.

In Assam, BJP has won the Dhemaji assembly bypoll. BJP candidate Ranoj Pegu defeated his nearest rival Congress candidate by over nine thousand votes.  In West Bengal, Trinamool Congress has won the Kanthi Dakshin Assembly bye-election. Its candidate Chandrima Bhattacharya defeated her nearest BJP rival Sourindra Mohan Jana by over 44 thousand votes.

In Karnataka, Congress has won both, the Gundlupet as well as Nanjangud assembly constituency seats which went to by-polls on Sunday. Both the seats were held by Congress. Re-polling is underway in 38 polling stations of the Srinagar Lok Sabha seat. Our correspondent reports, polling is peaceful so far.
