BASF and AMA Group partner to bring Premium Paints to Australian body shops

Global chemical company BASF has signed a ten-year partnership with leading Australia and New Zealand bodyshop network AMA Group. Through this partnership, BASF will supply an innovative and tailored system of waterborne refinishing solutions from its premium automotive refinish paint brand Glasurit® to AMA’s network in Australia and New Zealand of over 70 bodyshops, enhancing quality, productivity and safety within their bodyshops.

Chris Titmarsh, Vice President, Regional Business Management, Automotive Refinish Coatings Solutions Asia Pacific, BASF, said “By partnering with the AMA Group, one of the leading multi-shop operators in the market, we can deliver the most comprehensive and reliable systems and services to even more advanced bodyshops in Australia. We also bring a global network of highly qualified technical staff and refinish technology to the new partnership.”

Founded in 1888 by Max Winkelmann, Glasurit has more than 100 years of experience in coatings and paints. It is part of the BASF family of automotive refinish brands, focusing on eco-efficient waterborne paints and high-solids paints. Glasurit automotive refinish products are approved by most of the leading car manufacturers worldwide for aftermarket repair and are preferred for their color expertise.
