AAI signs MoA with APIDFC

AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA (AAI), a Public Sector Undertaking under Government of India, constituted under an Act of Parliament, namely the Airports Authority of India Act, 1994 as amended by the Act of 2003 having its Corporate Headquarters at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi- 110003.  As part of Corporate Social Responsibility, AAI has taken several steps to sustain and empower under-privileged communities near its airports and provide necessary help in socio-economic development of the region. AAI is working in health, sanitation, Paper Recycling, Rural Sports Education & Skill Development.

One of the recent initiatives has been signing of   MEMORANDUM OF  AGREEMENT between Airports Authority of India  and Arunachal Pradesh Industrial Development and Financial Corporation (APIDFC) (A Government of Arunachal Pradesh undertaking) on 28th April, 2018 at Regional Headquarters, North East Region, AAI, Guwahati for  “Construction of 100 nos. New toilets in Govt. Schools (Boys/Girls) in the state of Arunachal Pradesh”.

Airports Authority of India has agreed to support the project as mentioned above by providing financial assistance under its CSR initiative for an amount of  Rs.5.49 Cr. (Rupees Five Crore Forty Nine Lakh only) as per the estimates prepared by APIDFC Ltd., Arunachal Pradesh. The project is to be completed in 12 MONTHS from the date of execution of the MoA.

The MoA was signed by Shri D.S. Gariya, General Manager(Engg.), AAI & Er. Takhe Tamo, Managing Director, APIDFC Ltd. In presence of Shri D.K. Kamra, Regional Executive Director, North East Region and senior officials of Airports Authority of India.
