Mr. Yash Pal Singhal, IPS 1983 batch, is the new Director General Police (DGP) of Haryana Police. Prior to this appointment, he was the Director General of Vigilance Bureau. He has replaced Mr. S.N. Vashisht, IPS 1981 batch, who will now be officiating as DG Haryana State Vigilance Bureau in place of Mr. Singhal. Mr. Vashisht is due to retire on November 30th 2015, whilst, the new DGP has tenure till March 2017.
Mr. Vashisht was appointed as DGP during the Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress government.
